“It was marvellous, a feast for the eyes,
this complication of coloured tints,
a perfect kaleidoscope of green, yellow, orange, violet, indigo, and blue;
in one word, the whole palette of an enthusiastic colourist!”
- Jules Verne
Capri, the island in the Gulf of Naples, is famous for its steep territory, exclusive hotels and shopping, ranging from haute couture, limoncello, to handmade leather sandals. One of the most famous natural sites is the Blue Grotto, a dark cavity where the sea water is tinged with electric blue thanks to the presence of an underground cave that filters the sunlight.
Procida (Italian pronunciation: [ˈprɔːtʃida]; Neapolitan: Proceta [ˈprɔːʃətə]) is one of the Flegrean Islands off the coast of Naples in southern Italy. The island is between Cape Miseno and the island of Ischia. With its tiny satellite island of Vivara, it is a comune of the Metropolitan City of Naples, in the region of Campania
Ischia is a volcanic island in the Gulf of Naples in Italy. It is known for its mineral-rich thermal waters. The thermal springs gush at the Maronti beach, located in the south. To the east, Roman remains are found on the sea floor of the Cartaromana beach. The beach overlooks the medieval Aragonese Castle, connected to Ischia by a stone bridge. Nearby, the 18th-century Palazzo dell'Orologio houses the Sea Museum, dedicated to the fishing tradition of Ischia.
